Acceso / Access
Desde Olot nos dirigimos por la C-152 hacia los túneles de Bracons. Antes de llegar a la rotonda que nos subirá a los túneles giramos a la derecha por la GIV-5273 dirección Joanetes. Pasamos el desvío a Joanetes centro, siguiendo por la misma carretera hacia el Coll de Bracons y entramos por Joanetes Oeste. Dejamos el coche justo después.
From Olot follow the road C-152 to the Bracons tunnels. Before the roundabout of the tunnels turn right to the GIV-5273 direction Joanetes. Pass the Joanetes centre turn following the same road to the Coll de Bracons and turn right to the next exit Joanetes West. Leave your car just after.
Aproximación / Approach
Seguiremos a pie hacia el noroeste el sendero que va hacia Santa Magdalena. El camino es por el bosque, la vegetación se va a abrir llegando al Puig del Soi, dónde también veremos nuestro aterrizaje principal. Seguimos nuestro camino adentrándonos en la Canal Fosca, parte del tramo que también se llama Ganxos Nous (está equipado con pasamanos, estacas de hierro y otros elementos, con poca dificultad). Al llegar arriba de todo al cuello giramos a la derecha hacia el mirador. Éste será nuestro punto del salto.
Ojo que la piedra en el punto mas extremo del salto se mueve! Mejor no pisarla y quedarse justo antes.
Follow on foot the north-west path that leads to Santa Magdalena. It will be through the forest, and the vegetation will open at Puig del Soi, where we'll also encounter our main landing. Follow the path inside the Canal Fosca, part of the way also called Ganxos Nous (it is equipped with handrails, iron stakes and other elements, with little difficulty). Upon reaching the top of the pass we turn right towards the viewpoint. This will be our exit point.
Be careful, the stone at the extreme point of the jump moves! Better not step on it and stay just before.
Material / Gear
Se necesita cordino de unos 6m para hacer punto de anclaje para la linea estática. El cordino se puede atar al rededor de la misma piedra desde dónde se salta.
It is necessary to bring a 20ft cord to make an anchor point for the static line. The cord can be tied around the same rock from where you will jump.
Altura / Height
55 metros (180ft) al impacto.

Aterrizaje / Landing
Hay dos posibilidades:
La más obvia es el própio camino por donde hemos venido en el Puig del Soi, justo ántes de adentrarse en la vegetación. Hay unos 230m (755ft) de desnivel y 500m (1640ft) de distancia horizontal. La zona de aterrizaje es técnica, con desnivel, algunos obstaculos y piedras ocultas. Obligatoria una buena inspección previa.
El aterrizaje alternativo se encuentra abajo, en el campo cerca de las casas y requiere un eficiente vuelo de campana para poder llegar. Está a unos 550m de desnivel y 1300m de distancia horizontal. Obligatorio mantener un glide ratio de campana mínimo de 2,5. Si no se llega, no existe aterrizaje alternativo y nos llevaría a un arbolizaje.
There are two possibilities:
The most obvious is the path we have come from in Puig del Soi, just before entering the vegetation. There are about 755ft of vertical and 1640ft of horizontal distance. The landing area is technical, with ramp, some obstacles and hidden stones. A good prior inspection is mandatory.
The alternative landing is down, in the field near the houses and requires an efficient canopy flight to get there. It is about 1800ft of vertical and 4260ft of horizontal distance. Mandatory to maintain a minimum canopy glide ratio of 2.5. If it is not reached, there is no alternative landing and it would take us to a tree landing.
Regreso / Return
Desde el aterrizaje principal volvemos por el mismo camino que hemos venido.
Desde el alternativo, por los caminos entre las casas. El coche estará cerca.
From the main landing we return the same way we have come.
From the alternative, along the paths between the houses. The car will be close.
Observaciones / Observations
Los vientos en el exit son distintos que en el vuelo y los aterrizajes. Por la topología de la zona puede confluir corriente del norte con la del oeste-este.
Winds in the exit point may differ from those in flight and landing areas. Because of the topology of the area you could find both winds from north and west-est at the same time.
